‎”Truth” according to religion is relatively immutable. It remains unchanged despite new evidence. There are no holes because the “whole truth” has been provided. “Holes”? Aplenty, but you are told not concern yourself with them.

“Truth” according to science is INHERENTLY mutable - it is provisional based on the evidence on hand. New evidence, new truths - or, more accurately, more complete truths. It never claims to be the “whole truth” as new questions are answered, new questions are asked. “Holes”? Yes, but they are simply questions yet to be answered.
